From Small Beginnings

We all know great ideas can come from small beginnings. We’ve seen game jam games become global successes, and small teams grow to large studios. With this year's theme, From Small Beginnings, we want to reflect on where we’ve come from and inspire the next great ideas.

Speaker Feedback

We'd love to hear your feedback on any NZGDC18 presentations you attend. It not only helps us know how we can improve NZGDC and the quality of our content each year, it also lets us give our speakers feedback on their talks. Enter your name on each submission to go in the draw to win a free NZGDC 2019 pass!

NZGDC18 Merchandise

This year, not only do we have a fantastic line up of presenters, but we’ve also got some sweet NZGDC18 Merchandise that you can buy! We won't be selling any at the conference, so if you want it before NZGDC make sure to put your orders in soon.

Financial Aid

We want NZGDC to be accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of location, role or financial situation. We have a limited number of discounted tickets available to help people who aren’t able to attend without financial aid. Please fill in this form to apply and we’ll be in touch to discuss.

Indie Biz Showcase

For the first time, NZGDC18 will feature an Indie Biz Showcase evening event aimed at supporting New Zealand game developers. The event will showcase our vibrant games industry and promote the work of many talented local independent game developers. The event will be free to attend, but we ask that you register to help us estimate capacity and catering requirements. Anyone involved with the games industry is welcome, whether they are attending the NZGDC18 conference or not!

Please register for your ticket to help us estimate capacity and catering requirements.

Applications for the Indie Biz Showcase are currently being reviewed, and will be notified later this week.

NZGDC18 would not be possible without our amazing sponsors: Pik Pok, Creative NZ, NZ On Air, Auckland Tourism Events and Economic Development, CheckPoint, IGDA Foundation, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, NZGDA, Unreal Engine, Chromacon, XBox, Perforce, Renegade PR, IGEA, HP, Dinosaur Polo Club, MSI, Hudson Gavin Martin, Playtech, Autodesk, Unity, Internet NZ, Staples VR, Dean Hall, University of Canterbury
